Founded in the spring of 1972, Southern Missouri Containers, Springfield Missouri, is the flagship company of SMC Packaging Group. Since its inception the company has grown to a 160,000 square foot facility with 170 employees. Our philosophies have attracted good people, and, because of low turnover, our management, sales, administration, and production departments offer you cumulative years of valuable experience.

We excel because of our human resources as well as our machinery. Having an in-house corrugator enables us to efficiently manufacture our own board and offer a full line of packaging products and services. Southern Missouri Containers enjoys a strong financial rating and continues to reinvest each year in our people, building, equipment and technology to ensure that each phase of our business is up-to-date.

In 1996 Southern Missouri Containers was named Manufacturer of the Year by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
