SMC Packaging operates an 87" Fosber Corrugator in its plant in Springfield. Additional equipment upgrades are currently in progress. We possess the ability to run B Flute, C Flute, and B/C Doublewall in a wide variety of grades and board combinations. We enjoy a solid and consistent line of containerboard supply from some of the best mills in the industry. In addition to applying color and function coatings on the corrugator, we also have the ability to run Sesame Tape and tear tape.
High Speed Flexo-Folder Gluers
SMC Packaging has a fleet of four multi-color flexo-folder gluers ranging in size from 29" to 66" cylinders. The distribution of these machines across our plants provides good coverage and backup in the case of disruptions to production. Three of these flexos possess in-line diecutting capability.
Rotary & Flat Bed Die Cutting
All SMC manufacturing plants have 66" Rotary Die Cutters and flat bed diecutting capabilities. Based on the volume and the level of intricacy of the job, we can provide the right equipment with the right dimensional integrity to meet your need.
Miscellaneous Manufacturing Services
We employ the use of several other pieces of equipment throughout our plants that are designed to meet the demands of our diverse customer base. Tapers, stitchers, partition slotters, curtain coaters, paper stretchers, etc. are matched with our automated equipment to provide a single point of access for all of your packaging needs.
Contract Packaging and Fulfillment
Through our subsidiary SMC Packaging Solutions, we offer contract packaging and fulfillment services to our customers. We can offer this on-site at customer locations as well as in many SMC Packaging locations. This service provides a level of customer support that has proven to be very beneficial to customers in streamlining their operations and allowing them to focus on the manufacture of their product.
