SMC: Then & Now
Investing in the community
We actively participate in civic, charitable, and social groups to have a positive impact on the community. We stay connected in our communities, not out of a sense of obligation, or because we believe we will benefit from that connection—we do it because SMC Cares.

The articles of incorporation for Southern Missouri Containers, Inc were filed with the State of Missouri on February 1, 1972.
At SMC we operate all of our delivery equipment with our own employees. We schedule these deliveries based upon your needs and receiving times available.
At all of our locations, we are working a minimum of 2 shifts, 5 days a week. Many times we may be working thru the night or on the weekends to meet your needs.
The typical market coverage area for each location would be roughly a 200 mile radius. We do however, on a regular basis, ship product much farther than this when the needs arise.
Southern Missouri Containers was founded in 1972. As we added new locations to the company (Arrowhead Containers in 1984, Wonder State Box in 1987, and Sooner Packaging in 2008), we kept regional names to connect each location to its home area. SMC Packaging Group is the name we use to tie all of our family of companies together.
